Dreaming Delirium
I lay in bed listening to her as insomnia and I battle in the dark.
My sisters talking in her sleep again.
Muttering words I don’t understand she mumbles to her unseen visitor.
She never remembers these night whispers of hers. Never believes me when I tell her, “you were arguing in your sleep again”.
Her and her dream seem to be fighting again, though she always wakes up before they can finish.
It makes me think out loud,
“who is it shes talking to?”
